OBC DUTCH DELIGHT
Old Boys Clapham returned to England in the best of spirits with the best of memories of their weekend to trip to play F.C. DOSR. All the players had a brilliant time as all players were made to feel right at home in the little village of Roelofarendsveen near Amsterdam. The local Dutch people were very hospitable and accommodating as the players partied the night away with the DOSR players and friends.
OBC player Leroy Donald said of the game, “I felt that DOSR played the game with a lot of heart and passion which made me feel welcome on the pitch. By playing FC DOSR the game was also a great test for me as their style was so much more technical compared to our game which I felt I could take away with me back home to improve my own game to help OBC get even better”.
Young striker Dean Barrett whose trip was the first ever outside of England said of the trip to Holland “it was a great experience and good match against a very good team”.
OBC players and management all wish to welcome the DOSR players to Clapham, England next season for the rematch on English soil and hope that the Dutch players can have as good a time as we had in Holland.
Thank you FC DOSR for the best game played in the fairest of spirits and the best of memories which we will cherish for years to come.
