International Friendly Result:
OLD BOYS CLAPHAM 1-1 FC DOSR Mahf Chowdhury scored a 43rd minute equaliser to level the game against the visiting Dutch side FC Dosr. A minute earlier Dosr took the lead with a fine strike from the edge of the area. Matt Belk and Leroy Donald were both denied by the woodwork. Dosr had an excellent chance to take the lead towards the end of the game but a Matt Belk tipped the effort over the bar.Joe Kubik nearly won it at the death but his shot fizzed narrowly wide.
Old Boys Clapham FC were 4-1 up against their former club side Norton FC in Division One. The game will be remembered for all of the wrong reasons as the referee chose to abandon the game after the Norton captain was shown a second yellow card. The Norton player then grabbed the yellow card and tore it in to two pieces. Norton and the referee have supplied the name of the player and it is now for the authorities to decide what to do. League rules suggest that the 4-1 score-line will remain and all three points will be awarded (eventually) to Old Boys Clapham as they had no part in the Norton player's actions with the referee. The player earlier stamped on our centre back Grant Burke after he made a diving header to put OBC a goal up. Then Matt Belk and Charlie Horner made it 3-0 before half time. Dean Barrett got the fourth shortly into the second half before Norton got a consolation goal and Ed Uff somehow had a 5th goal chalked off for offside after the ball was played square to him. In other news, Old Boys Clapham Res got their first win in Division Three thanks to goals from Emmett Shingler, Leroy Donald and Steve Allison beating Norbiton Dragons 3-2.
